Our parrot care and training consultations are a bespoke and affordable way to get help with your pet bird! Consultations take place via Zoom with Sophie and David, who are both Certified Professional Bird Trainers (CPBT-KA).

We can help you and your bird with a wide variety of topics, such as:

- Bonding and taming
- Fear and aggression
- Screaming
- Biting
- Flight rehabilitation
- Diet and nutrition
- Hormones
- Separation anxiety
- Getting a new bird
- Bonding two birds
- Trick training
- Getting your bird to play with toys

If there is something else you would like to discuss that is not listed here, please email us at bestbehavedbirds@gmail.com - please note that we cannot discuss or diagnose health issues, and we currently do not offer consultations on outdoor free flight.

PLEASE NOTE: Once you have paid for your consultation, we will be in touch via the email you placed your order through within 48 hours - please check your junk folder! We will send you our pre-consultation form to fill out as well as information to schedule your booking. You are welcome to email us first with your order number if you'd prefer.

We work with clients globally and accommodate all time zones. 

After your consultation, you will receive a full written action plan via email with everything we discuss, and included in the price is free after support via email or DM to help you reach your training goals with your bird!

We strongly advise that your bird visits an avian veterinarian before using our services in order to establish that your queries are not related to an existing health condition. If you decide not to do so, we can still offer our services, however we will not be liable if your bird is unwell.

Refund policy: We offer full refunds for bookings cancelled up to 24 hours before your consultation. If you cancel your booking with less than 24 hours notice, we reserve the right to keep your fee as we will have already begun work on your case. Great service

I didn’t realise how helpful this consultation would be. Turns out I was doing so many things wrong but I’m glad I get the chance to address them so I can have the happiest bird. Looking forward to implementing the tips and see how it goes. But I really recommend. They were super prepared and nice as well.

I was worried we are not good enough

I was worried that my case was not good enough for a consultation, but Sophie and David helped me a lot! I sent them a very detailed explanation on my situation with my two birds - Oliver and Lemon, and throughout this call, they have been very helpful with their explanations and our next steps.

We have just started reading all the materials we received and slowly started working on collecting more information about our bird behavior.

Exceptional!!!

Our session was so helpful. I’m amazed at how professional and knowledgeable Sophie and David are. They were even able to accommodate when I was late, I know how busy they are so I was so grateful that they went above and beyond for me and my family. I cannot recommend this service enough, you can read and watch hours of YouTube but nothing beats personalized help from true experts. We have been putting into place their tips and guidance and already noticing a big difference in my birds behaviour and making great progress on our training goals. I will 100% be booking with them again once we are ready for the next step in our journey as living bird owners. THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH, my birds are doing amazing and can’t ask for more :)

I not expecting them to cover this much ground in such a short session.

Very in depth consultation going over the basics and relevant tips I've never been recommended before. I was sent an email of everything they went over. Additional links to suggested items and videos was also helpful. I can feel uneasy on camera with strangers but they were very friendly and it wasn't an issue. I not expecting them to cover this much ground in such a short session. Very much appreciated. Would highly recommend.
